Can i ask the realtor to show me the house again?
My husband and I are under contract on a purchasing a house *(we have agreed on a price, we have had an inspection done), we are just waiting on a closing date which is set for November 14. However, my mother and I will be in the area tomorrow (saturday), and she really wants to see the house. Is it inappropriate to call the realtor to ask to be let in the house again so she can see? or is it fine since we are buying it!

Not at all inappropriate. Call her.

ranger_co_1_75
Perfectly OK to call and ask to see the house again. I bet the realtor will be tickled to meet your mother who may one day possibly be a new customer.

Of course you can and the realtor should be more than happy to accommodate you, especially considering the fact he/she has just made several thousand dollars from the sale. Even if you hadn't already signed on the dotted line, a realtor will always show you a second and even a third time, it does after all show interest in the house. The more you look the more likely you'll buy.

no they work for you.
do not feel that you are asking for a favor
they will do this for you . plus they get commission.
they work for you as I said.

Sure, go ahead and ask. I usually write into the agreement that there will be a couple additional visits prior to closing. The current owners might not want your visit, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

You can absolutely go see the house. I often have clients who want to show it to friends or family before closing, go in and measure something, or take paint chips and flooring samples in to check colors.

No problem, I'm happy to show it again.

Lex
Of course you can - it's not uncommon to see the house several times while a deal in in process - of course, if there are people still living in the house, you're at their mercy as to if and when you can go through.

Yes, you should totally call her and schedule an appointment. Realtors are desperate right now and anyone should be happy to make their client happy.

bud68
No, it is not. You should do a final walk-through just prior to closing, but showing it to your relatives is not appropriate.
