Don't lose hope if you're looking to buy a home. There are so many different ways to fund a home now, just about anyone with any kind of credit can get into a home, regardless of credit situation.
Of course, some will cost you more money in the long run, but a home it's still one of the best investments that you can make, so, in many cases, it's worth it, especially for the first year of ownership.
You should shop around, and ask different lenders what kind of programs they have, and if they can help. Try to find a lender that specializes in bad credit mortgages. You can find some bad credit mortgage lenders listed on this page on and off:

The idea isn't JUST to get financed. The idea is to get financed at a good RATE. Work on your credit for a little while. The difference you pay, overall, for your home will be well worth it! I am a credit consultant, and I am by no means trying to get your business. But get a look at your credit report and see what is there. You need what we call a tri-merge - or at least go to annualcreditreport.com and get your reports. You may have to pay extra for the scored reports.
See where you stand - that's your starting point. Develop a plan of action - either pay down debt, dispute the report, negotiate the debt - whichever fits. You want your median, or middle score, at 620 or above before you apply. Then go for it!

Yeah your criteria is not standard, but goodness theyve landed men on the moon and there are plenty of people who have obtained loans with bad credit, as long as your defaults are paid you will have a great chance. If they are not, it may be a little harder but dont give up.
