How is your credit so horrible, and yet you have $50k to put down on a house. With very little information, I will say NO!!!
With the market the way it is now, and the reason it is what it is is beause of people like you. Apparently you have the money, but choose not to pay your bills. If you can't pay your other bills, then why would a bank think your going to pay them? Just because you have $50k. All that does is get you a better rate. Although it does have other merrits. But without knowing why your a sloutch or what the real reason your credit is embarrasingly low, but yet you do have money, My guess right off the bat is "Please leave this building and don't let the door hit you on the way out"

With 50% down, you shouldn't have any problem. The only problem would be a prior foreclosure. You will need to look into a FHA mortgage. Be prepared to provide a detailed written explanation as to why your credit is horrible (ex. medical, divorce, unemployment, etc...) |
