Don't know about Canada but here in the states that is usually avoided with a room mate agreement. It's obvious that you don't have one of those so talk to a local esquire up there. |

If you are not on the lease, it is my opinion that you are there at her whim and she can toss you out today. If you feel that you have a verbal contract, you can try to fight it.
I'm not a lawyer, though. |

In the USA, you would be considered a sub-tenant and as such have rights. Your roommate would be in effect your landlord.
Just because your name isn't on a lease do not mean you don't have a valid tenancy. The second someone accepts rent from you, they assume the responsibilities of being a landlord to you.
Any eviction process has to be done according to law. |

Depends on what you did. I'd maybe move you out today. |

if your name is not on the lease then yes. but I wouldlook at that and see how much notice she has to give you, might be as little as 7 days, might as much as 30 days....check the lease to see and make sure. If it is two weeks ans she gve you 1 week, consult a lawyer about the possibility of suing her. |

You must have really ticked her off - yes, she can do it with no notice - a roommate is basically a guest in the leaseholder's home. |

Not positive, but I don't think so. You have to have at least 30 days. |
