Yes, infact you can probably get one much cheaper than $450K. For a 2 to 3 bedroom house in the CT area you are probably looking at about $300K to $400K. The closer you are to NYC the more expensive it gets. Further out east or further north the prices get cheaper.

Near NYC, not sure, real state is more epxnsive
I know you can find something likethat near Dallas or Austin, TX

HomesByDamon.com
Absolutely. I'm a real estate agent in the Philadelphia suburbs. You can buy a very nice single family home for $450,000 within minutes of downtown Philadelphia, and within 2 hours of New York City, Washington DC, and Baltimore. If you would like more info, send me an email at info@homesbydamon.com.

Charlotte is a nice size city and here in NC you can find an awesome big big big house for that amount of money. Actually you can buy two big houses for that amount of money!!!

strtat2
Definitely. I live about 1 1/2 hours from NYC and you can get a decent house for less then that. Take a look at realtor.com. You can put in the city you want to live by and a milage range from there to get an idea of whats available, where and what price.
