You normally need permission under the planing acts. If you need somewhere to stay while a house is being rebuilt, it's normally forthcoming. Otherwise the answer's usually no - unless you're in an area where there are other caravans. |

I'm in the US and each jurisdiction has it's own laws. It would help if the people answering knew where (at least what country) you live in. I see allot of answers referring to a "council". Here we call them zoning laws. But living in a car van can have problems like; no bathroom, shower, running water, heat and air conditioning (unless you have a generator) . |

I am sure it's subject to planning permission , placing it there temporarily is a different matter but they will evict eventually , waste water drainage needs a permanent connection if it is a permanent home and thus an address and then poll tax , it really is a quagmire to sort something legal . local council make a general enquiry . be interested to know the outcome . i am thinking of going on the road . |

i think that you have to pay council tax if you live in it all year, thats why most cavaran parks close for 6 weeks so noone can live in them. check with the council, camp site or somthing. but im no expert i could be wrong.. its just what i got told. |
