I have never seen such bullcrap answers. It is YOUR house, do whatever you want with it. There are no steps. Put an ad in the paper and rent it out.

Contact a real estate office and ask for a rental cma for your area..they can give you an idea what the rental rate is..you can either choose to use them to rent your property or do it yourself. They CMA is FREE. Do not let them charge you. Just tell them you are thinking of renting your property and want to explore your options. Do NOT sell at this point you will be doing yourself more harm than good,

Check with the bank you got your mortgage with. Sometimes at closing you sign a piece of paper saying you will not rent out the house. You can get in big trouble if you do.

financing_loans
If its a Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA or VA loan. The answer to your question is of course you can.

I dont know what else to say. The answer is that simple.

You can rent your house out as soon as escrow closes . Its your house. The bank only holds the note

If is ur house, u can do what ever u want, in this case rent it. Most ppl do in order 2 pay the mortgage. Just make sure u do an intense background check on ur future renters. Go 2 a near Real Estate n buy a "lease form"...($2 or $4) n start ur thing.
Good luck.

Chrissy.USA
you can buy a house just to rent it. why didn't you know that?

Ahwell
If you have a mortgage on it, you should get the agreement of the mortgage company. Then you'll have to get safety certificates for the gas and electric supply and appliances.

Tay-Tay
give it back u will get money back or have somebody live there and have them pay the rent

Butterfly
Are u still paying for the house? if u already payed for it then if u want u can lease the house.
