These people are living in a "shop"? A store?
You never should have agreed to this, but you need to get them out. They can not legally live there.
If it is a house you have to evict, but since they are not in a house I think you can just call the police and tell them you have vagrants squatting in your building. They will clear them out in a hour.
Talk to your son about finding girlfriends will a little more class then this. I would be appalled if my children even knew people like this. |

Call the police. Without a lease, it's called "trespassing" |

It sounds like these are the kind of people who will sue you (and win) if you aren't careful. If I were you I would talk with an attorney. |

ask them nicely one more time and explain the situation about you guys trying to help and now they have taken advantage of the situation. that you want them out in three days. if they fail to comply you have no other option but to call authorities. |

how serious is it between ur son and his girl? if its only ben a few months, just toss their stuff out. if its very serious, be careful how you arrange the stuff out..
In all seriousness, u have the right to throw their **** out |

Kick you sons butt and tell him to get them out. If that doesn't work, get a lawyer. |

Take a police officer with you and serve them with an eviction notice and since they have no lease and pay no rent it can be withing 24 hours. If they don't move have the police remove them. |

Give them one week to vacate or you will call the police to have them removed for trespassing.
I'm being that generous with time because you did this for your son, really and the girlfriend's going to try to guilt him over her and her family taking advantage of you.
Good luck. |

That's what you get for trying to do the right thing. |

If they are there and aren't paying rent, they are what is called squatting and that is illegal. Contact the sheriff for help in getting them out. |

Talk to your son first and let him know how you feel. Then set your bounderies on the issue. If they don't leave, then you need to take action and call the police. This is your property and your have the right to evict them from your place.
Also, I wouldn't let them know (or your son) that you will be calling the police.
Explain your situation to the police and have them meet up with you to your building and they will monitor your son's girlfriends family as they pack up their few belongings and leave the property.
Good luck bud. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions and this is one of them. |

The best thing to do is call the sheriff's office. They are the ones that usually do evictions. You would have to file an eviction notice, even without a lease agreement. Serve the eviction notice and give them at least 30 days to move out. The 30 days is what most states deem reasonable, but it may differ in your state or county. Check with your local sheriff. |

Unfortunately you will still have to go thru the proper procedure of eviction. Even without a written lease, of course check with your local police, who knows maybe in your state there is something you can do now.
There is also City certificate of occupancy requirements for instance if they deem it is not up to code so it cannot be occupied by any residents but that route is iffy you could have that backfire on you...Good luck! |

me and my roomates jsut finished dealing with a similar problem and apparently as log as u invited them in to stay u ahve to give them a legal notice the best thing to do is go to a clerks office dpeending if u liv ein a county or not and get a notice of removal form. they will then have three days to evacuate the premises and a month to evacuate their property that is the legal way over here in new york state u dont wanna go out of all contorl and tell them to leave right away or throw thier stuff to the curb as others suggested because u might find urself in court facing a lawsuit. |

Take there stuff out. Put a deadbolt on the door - and a notice if they enter they will be trespassing. If they break the door down - call the Police. |

u should call a lawyer r maybe police dept and ask about steps for eviction, although n ur case they dont even pay rent so i dont know how that would work maybe call police.once i had a guy move in with me like that, unofficial, and couldnt get him to leave even lock him out,go out with other guys stuff like that. i finally had to pack his bag and bring him 2 his moms myself.i was soooo happy after i did it! |

draw up a notarized letter that you wish them to vacate your building in 14 days or whatever reasonable time frame - once they have received the letter then it's a legal document. Check with your states law enforcement to find out about the laws of renting - I'm from NJ so I don't know what your states laws are - but I do know there are guidelines - it's actually easier for you to get them out since there isn't a lease - at least that is how it is here in NJ. Good Luck |

THEY ARE TRESPASSING!!!! Say LOOK I HELPED YOU OUT LONG ENOUGH AND YOUR WALKING ALL OVER ME, YOU EITHER HAVE TO OUT BY THE END OF THE MONTH OR START PAYING ME SOME RENT (that way they can't say you didn't give them a chance), MAKE THEM SIGN AN AGREEMENT NOW WITH WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO PAY OR EITHER THE MOVE-OUT DATE AND TELL THEM IF THEY GIVE YOU ANOTHER EXCUSE YOU'LL CALL THE COPS TO HAVE THEM ESCORTED FROM YOUR PROPERTY if they do nothing THEN YOU HAVE NO CHOOSE BUT TO CALL THE COP TO HAVE THEM ALL REMOVED.
THIS SAME thing happened to me, IT NEVER PAYS TO HELP FAMILY MEMBER!!!!!!
TAKE THIS AS A LESSON LEARNED..... |

Just so you all know, you can not use the police to have anyone removed who has been living in your home more than a week. The only means of evictions is just that. You must go to the county office and see an eviction notice. The eviction notice will cost you in the area of $300.00 and takes anywhere between 3-6 months to process.
The local sheriff department will service the notice and they will be put out. their belongs will be put on the curb, end of story.
This is how it works in new york state, I don't know about another state. |
