I strongly recommend contents insurance for all tenants as it is relatively cheap compared to car and homeowner's insurance and will protect you in the event of a loss. |

Just go on the various sites and get quotes. Just got mine redone - £85 contents only to £40k cover in an expensive area of the country.
Don't skimp on it. Look at those people in the flooded areas of the country who did and now have nothing but a damp pile of useless objects... and I'm not talking about their relatives. |

Renter's insurance is relatively inexpensive. It's not a bad idea to have it, particularly if the contents of your apartment would be a hardship for you to replace if you had to. |

Most national insurance carriers provide this coverage. It is called renters insurance. Try Allstate, State Farm, any of those type carriers. |

Have a look at some quotes for contents insurance on the internet. Tesco, Direct Line, Banks etc all do contents insurance - you just have to shop around to see what is available and at what cost. |
