Nothing changes for you except maybe who you make out your mortgage payment to. And if you have to change the name, they will provide you with the payment coupons and such. My mortgage went through this same kind of thing a while back. I only knew something happened when I got a new payment book in the mail with a letter telling me the company had been sold and the new name was on my payment book. Legally, no other terms of the mortgage contract can change. The new legal owner of the contract is bound by law to follow the terms as the former owner did. What changed here was simply ownership of the company name, Countrywide. Countrywide is now more of an employee, a subsidiary of the Bank of America. |

No - Countrywide sells the loans to Bank of America as they exist -there will be no changes to you, except maybe the address where you send your payments. |

No your loan terms cannot be modified. Loans are transferred, sold, and service released all the time, and terms are set and done by the note. It CANNOT and will not be modified, unless you initiate modification. |
