Ususally you have to get your own |

?

Buy your own. Don't expect them to furnish one. It's like asking them to provide linens and towels. |

I would say you have to buy your own. I've never heard of a landlord supplying a shower curtain.
they are not expensive - about 12 at walmart. |

Not generally. Shower curtains are not provided by the landlord or the apartment seller in a property transfer. The house or apartment must be vacant and all garbage removed.
Shower curtainss are considered personal items. A real estate agent will ask you to remove an existing one when you sell a house as it is used and therefore unsanitary.
If the contract that you signed was for a furnished apartment, then there may be a clause for a brand new shower curtain to come with the apartment. By all means , ask the person who signed the agreement with you to furnish you one, the cheapskates. These things are less than 10 dollars each for a basic curtain. They may have simply overlooked putting up one. Call them immediately and ask. =There is no harm in asking.
If they had been nice and all that, and they only included the furniture as a gesture of goodwill, and if it was me and I was still an impoverished student, I will just go to a dollar store to buy a cheap shower curtain. |

If they advertised a furnished apartment, I think they should supply the shower curtain. |

Oddly enough, this isn't usually furnished. I don't rent anymore, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear stories of light bulbs not being included either, as this has happened to me before. Shower curtains are less then $3 so it's an expense you'll have to eat. Most furnishings are considered, those that can be reused, and therefore, left for a new tenant.. I bet you have to purchase toilet paper also.. just the way it goes when renting. Be grateful if you have blinds, those aren't mandated either.
Good luck! |

I would say yuck- buy your own-you don't want germs and skin and stuff from the last renter! I've never rented where they do that unless its a glass door, otherwise you provide. Happy Move! |

They have no obligation to provide one. |

I have seen it both ways. But for a few bucks you have a new one. No telling what went on in the shower, hope you weren't supplied with mattresses. |

Shower curtains are not considered furniture, they are considered a linen. Even a furnished apartment is not going to have one. You wouldn't want it to anyway, cause they would just keep reusing it and it would have no telling who's germs on them. GROSS!! You can get them cheap, so go get one. Heck, if money is an issue you can go to Fred's or the Dollar Store and get one for like $5, and even the highest ones at Walmart are only $12. I hope this helps. |

I would buy my own shower curtain since they tend to get moldy and need to be replaced every so often. The don't cost much. |

If it's a furnished place then there might be one there but a shower curtain is only a couple bucks. You can get one at the dollar store for the record. |
