Trix Is My Kryptonite
Do rental apartments allow pets?
Do some landlords allow pets in (rental) apartment?

Many do often you have to put down extra money b/c more risk for damange. They usually have limits of like 40 poundss though which means even a golden retriver or lab is most liekly not allowed.

If you have a bigger dog or multiple dogs your better off renting off craiglsist. There you get individual owners instead of an apt complex who has rules written in stone. As long as you seem responsible and on top of caring for your animals many landlords will allow biggger dogs.

You can always buy your own place too, then you can get an electric fence or fence and let your dog run free. Check out loanhomeonline.com/findamortgage if your considering buying.

Yes sometimes they are allowed. Often they are cats, birds and fish only, and no dogs. If dogs are allowed there is often a weight limit- with a max of around 35 lbs, and if larger dogs are allowed, certain breeds are generally prohibited. Generally these breeds are rottweilers, dobermans and pit bulls and sometimes german shepards.

Some allow pets and others do not. Further, those which do allow pets many times place restrictions on the size, number and type of pet. In my units, dogs are restricted to 25 lb or less, one per unit only. Same applies to cats. No other pets (other than a small fish tank) are allowed. I do not wish to risk the presence of a Burmese Python in any of my units.

I suppose it depends entirely on the landlord whether or not they let you have pets in their apartment.
I think some landlords do allow pets and others don't.

Some do, most don't.

You're more likely to find a place that allows cats than dogs, and expect to have an extra security deposit b/c of the pet. I know some places that allow cats will charge a deposit per cat, so you'll pay more if you have 2.

Some do, some don't. ASK.
Man require an extra Pet Deposit.
Increasingly, these pet deposits are nonrefundable.
