Do you think it's a bit unfair that real estate agencies, buy bargain properties?
... before others have had a chance to even see them. Wouldn't it be better if they went to needy families, or something? Especially when there is so much high cost housing and rent now.
Additional Details
Wouldn't it be nice if people put other people who need help ahead of money for a change. Much of the time a cheap property is for sale, due to a deceased estate. And like I said, give needy families the oportunity to buy at the bargain price, instead of the wealthy real estate companies making a profit. Which would be fine, if there wasn't so much of a housing crisis.

Yes it is and there are other scams and playing with the MLS or hooking up buyers ans sellers. This web site tell other games they did to MAKE the bubble. The high prices did not happen with out a lot of dishonesty in the market.

The solution is a mandatory public assailable county ran MLS. Then you will have a fare open honest housing market.

How are you planning on working this deal out? You want to "give" the house to needy families. However, there is a current owner that probably would like to be paid the value of his property.

Or is it that you want the Real Estate Agency to "give" the house to a needy family after they buy it?

Or is it you want some government agency to run around the country finding bargain houses and buy them with taxpayer money and give them to needy families? Or maybe you want the government to just declare it a house for needy people and take it away from the current owner, leaving him zero for whatever money he paid for it.

It would be wonderful if needy families could get low cost housing. And there are already a bunch of government programs in place already that address that.

Well, what's your solution? If they have the money and are willing to buy quickly, that's what sellers want.

Bargain properties are always owned by either a bank, or a government agency. None of them are in the business of real estate, so they get rid of them asap. I can tell you, though, that in the government's case, they ask for bids from people who will live there first before accepting bids from investors.

business is business- certainly does not matter who buys real estate at bargain prices its all about moving the properties off the market quickly and gettign the seller the money.

Mortgage companies that have lost money on forclosures want their money back as quickly as possible. They do the fairest thing possible: Auction it off to the highest bidder who can pay cash immediately.

Meet with a mortgage banker and see how much house you can be pre-approved for. Then go to the auction and see what sort of house you can get.

This is like saying do you think it is unfair for a auto mechanic to work or his car and not have to pay for it. Or a lawyer that can do his own work and not have to pay for it where the rest of us if we need a mechanic or a lawyer we have to pay for it. Real estate agents work hard and had to pass test and classes so this is a perk of being in that field just like all fields have perks. Also one problem I have is that when you give someone something they don't take care of it and don't learn anything from it. I do real estate for a living and see a lot of public housing and programs like section 8 where the government pays all or most of the persons rent. Most of the time the person that is receiving the money or rent does nothing to keep the property up and when something breaks demands for us to fix it. I don't think you should just give them anything. I do think you should try to teach them something like a skill they can use or how to make it into days environment then they can get there own house. If they don't want to try to improve there situation then they have what they got. But the fact of giving something to someone does not make since to me. Give a man a fish and he will have food once Teach a man to fish he will always have food!
