Technically, its his property, so no the tentant does not have the right to ask him to leave. However if the landlord goes into the tentant's apartment without notifying the tenant, for no good reason, then yes, the tenant can tell them to get the hell out. The tentant should send the Landlord a letter stating that, should they need to gain access to the apartment, a 72 hour advance notice must be made in writing before access can be granted. In the case of a verifiable emergency such as fire, flood etc, such notice is waived or can be bypassed by giving telephone notice. In most cases landlords think they have the right to enter their properties at anytime, this is illegal. Most tenants are not aware of this and raise no fuss over it, but they have no right to do this unless there is an emergency or in the case of necessary repairs, exterminations etc, in which case they must notify the tenant before hand. |

Yes and you are lucky the owner wants to keep the place maintenance for your benefit. So next time ask the owner would they like a cool drink or something like that. Ask when they come to let you know so you can bake some biscuits for them. |
