I like to give engraved picture frames to friends as gifts. Like my sorority sisters I give them ones with our letters on it. Recently I gave a frame to my boyfriends grandparents with the towns name they have their vacation house in because they let us use the house, they loved the frame and have it displayed in the house with a picture of the 4 of us.

So when did we start buying closing gifts for realtors? I think they get a big enough gift in the end! You paid them for the service, why would you buy them a gift?

Under $25 is rather cheap considering you are most likely making thousands of $$ by selling/listing the home. My Realtor gave me a bottle of champagne and $100 gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Realtors get alot of gifts that are specific to their work. try a gag gift their in a very stressful occupation and if they have a good sense of humor it will be greatly appreciated . If that doesn't work for you a gift certificate for a massage or a salon service is a great gift.

atiredwing
The commission on the sale should be gift enough.
What is wrong with you? The Realtor is NOT your friend. Six months or a year after you move into you new home you will realize this.

a big pot of nicely decorated artificial flowers would be nice and it will last a long time

I always get them a tree or rose bush. That's a wonderful gift to brighten up their new home.

Tess :)

Are you the Realtor or a buyer getting something nice for your Realtor?????

I hope that you mean a gift that the agent gives to the client. Our real estate agent gave US a house-warming gift, not the other way around. By the way, she gave us a cheap, rolling tea cart that didn't match our decor at all. Like someone above suggested, I would have rather had a silk floral arrangement or a tea rose bush to plant outdoors.

A gift FOR your realtor or FROM the realtor? FOR - just the check, thanks...FROM...hmmm...how about a doormat?

tx_mstry_lady
Well you could give them a card, Usually they have made money on your closing. About 6% of the cost. 3% for the selling realtor and 3% for the buying realtor. But if you feel the need, get them somehting that relates to their job. A little statue with a house on it, with a cute saying is one suggestion.
