Does my landlord have the right to go to my work?
my landlord came to my job already 3 times. One time to serve me a 3 day notice in witch he served to me already the day before that on my apartmemt door. What are my rights, or do I have any?

Your landlord is going overboard. Notice requirements are by certified and regular mail or service (personal or door) at the property address. You were already properly served.

It's bordering on harassment. I would hire a lawyer to write a letter telling him to knock it off, and that if he shows up at your job again you will file a complaint in municipal court.

When people do things like this, they have serious boundary issues and don't know when to stop, and that is a real warning sign. Take it seriously and deal with it appropriately. Do not allow things to get any more out of hand than they already have.

No they do not do that.

Do you go to his meeting?? no i dont think so.

If you work in a place that is accessible to the public, he has every right to be there, and your boss has every right to get him arrested for trespassing. Who likes you more? Your boss or your landlord?

groundbrandon
Ya he's bringing your personal life to work he not suppose to do that

churchonthewayseniors
it is not acceptable for him coming to your job, usually posting a notice on the door is all that is needed, he should have mailed a notice to your address...what he did is leaning towards harrassment... document all the things he does, appearing or calling you at your job, and other things he does, you might have a small claims law suit if he continues.......

a process server can serve you court papers at your place of employment if they are unable to find you anywhere else. i don't know if your landlord can do it himself legally. i'm not sure what the laws are everywhere. if you work in a place that serves the public, for instance retail or restaurant, you can't prevent him from coming there, but i don't know what your rights or his are as far as serving you with any kind of notice there. i would call an attorney and ask. most will answer your simple legal questions for free.

ssmindia
You walk up to his office and serve him a notice.

YOU MUST BE BEHIND IN THE RENT, IF SO YOU HAVE 3 DAY TO MOVE. AND YES HE CAN COME TO YOUR WORK.

Kandie K
That qualifies as creditor harrassment. Report him to the BBB, your local landlord/tenent association, the Realtor's Association if he belongs to that, the state attorney general's office for consumer fraud, and tell him if he doesn't stop, you're going to sue him. See how he likes that.
