I don't know who started this "white Trash" stuff about people living in Trailer houses, but I know a lot of people who do own single and double wide trailers (homes) and I can assure you they are not trailer trash. I am not sure what "trailer trash" is. If you drive down streets with houses on them there are lots of "trashy" houses as well as the really nice ones. I would have to say that you can only put yourself in that category....enjoy your beautiful home and forget about the idiots that make up this stuff. |

I have a acre and a quarter- I put a triple wide on a foundation and by far (if i may say so) it looks as good as anything on this street. Although its is a rural setting I have just increased the value of all my surrounding neighbors property. My neighbors and friends do not consider me White trash as they have more class than to; name call- actually one is considering doing the same thing as me. |

Absolutely Not. My wife, daughter and I live in a 24 X 48 double wide on our 7 beautiful acres. We are decidedly not what anyone would consider "white trash" but due to our chosen professions we could afford nothing more expensive. We are both social workers in the North Georgia mountains. We are highly respected members of this rural and mountainous area. I am on the Board of Directors of several social service organizations and my wife works full time in a non-profit medical field and also volunteers for a child advocate organization in our town. We love our lives and our home and would like to be no place else. |

No, I don't think so. I don't live in one, but two of my aunts share one in Indiana. And hey! McDreamy lives in one in Grey's Anatomy! And Tori Spelling lives/lived in one while she and her husband were making they're Bed & Breakfast.
How bad can they be? I think they're becoming fashionable, even. And this is coming from an upper-class Boca-girl in Florida, I would say what is and isn't fashionable or trashy.

If you're concerned about the perception of the people in your life, have a party so everyone can see how nice your place is and see that you don't walk around with a pack of cigarettes rolled up in your shirt sleeve. ;-) |
