Landlord can inspect as much as he wants, provided he gives you the proper notice before entering the unit. |

Yes they have the right to inspect, but only if they give you 24 hours notice. (At least that is the law in Ohio.) Check you lease to see if you signed something stating otherwise. |

Yes, the landlord or other authorized agent may make inspections as often as they want as long as it is not excessive. They do not have to give prior notice and you do not have to be home. The landlord owns the property that you are staying in you're payment of rent only gives you the right to use the property the landlord has the right to check and see if you are maintaining the conditions of your lease agreement. It's crappy i know but if you don't like it then buy your own home or make arrangments before you sign the lease to have inspections at regular intervals of your choosing rather than the landlords. |

Yes, they do have a right to inspect monthly. The landlord suppose to give you a notice on your door, mail, or even give you a call and let you know when they are going to inspect your apartment or house. That is what my landlord did a few months ago. |

I'm pretty sure they can, you should have signed a contract when you got moved in and it should of said it. Because it is HUD that gives them the right to inspect since they are paying for it. |

I think they do. My sister's landlord's agent did this for the first few years she was in a house then after that they came every three months. She was there 10 years in the end they checked on the property every 6 months. |

They do not have the right to come in without prior warning - but a great many standard lease contracts give them the right to inspect their property monthly. It protects them against extensive property damage, allows for exterminators, and for them to keep informed about the possibility of criminal activity in the complex.
It is annoying - but for their protection - as well as yours, in a way.
Look at your lease.
What did your signature give them the right to do?
Ask if you can be notified so that you can be in attendance when they enter.
Peace hon. |

Only if it is in your lease, otherwise no as you don't get any rebate from HUD. Good luck. |
