Only if the place is considered haunted and only if your state recognizes haunted as a material consideration to renting. Otherwise, they don't have to tell you if someone died on the property. What difference does it make if someone died there? Chances are someone died on it from old age if the property has been around since at least 1950.

Most states do not require disclosure of a death in a house, either for rental purposes or for purchase. The death of a person in a house has no material effect on the property, and that's what disclosure rules cover.
