call your local chapter of the catholic charities, call local community action agency, dept. of human services... good luck. Yes it is legal for him to evict you regardless of any health issues. if you have not paid the rent you can be evicted - period. hopefully one of the agencies can help and your landlord will allow their promise of help to buy you a little more time |

First of all... most states require a 90 day period after an eviction is filled before the landlord can actually lock you out, so more than likely you have at least 90 days. Second, use the resources you have paid into if your husband and yourself have been productive members of society...go to your local welfare office for assistance. Have either of you served in the military? They too will assist you. Local churches in your community usually have organizations within the church to help people like you who reside in their community. Also check in your phone book under local organizations like the red cross. Get on the phone, one phone call generally will lead to the next. If you put some effort forward and find some funds for your landlord he may be willing to work with you.
thank you,
a landlord |

unfortunately there isn't anything you can do, you have to start looking for a new place. Once you are delinquent even if your landlord says they will work with you that doesn't mean they have to. I am sorry about your recent circumstances and I hope things get better. |

start looking for another place to live.
It can sometimes take along time to get the claim settled
you may have to sacrifice and go to public housing |

Unfortunately it is up to your Landlord . Whether they show compassion as they should or whether the rent means more than it should will be entirely up to them. I am a Landlord and that is the way the laws read here in Texas, most states follow suit. God Bless and we can only pray that your Landlord shows some compassion, I know I would have.....
However emergency housing is usually always available in these instances, see your local housing authority...........
Good Luck...... |

Disability shouldn't take a month and a half to receive.
You need to work something out with the landlord. It is hard to say, but your problems are not the landlords. He has expenses also and relies on the income to cover the expenses. |

I might wonder if the landlord had concluded that we were never going to pay the rent. I might think perhaps if there's any proof you can show the landlord that the money is coming, but it is taking a while, maybe it would be worth a try to show them.
Also, if you know you will have money soon and you have a credit card with some credit room left you may be able to get a cash advance from them. (But beware- the interest rates on those can be INSANE so only do it if you KNOW you can pay it back shortly. ) I did it to cover my tuition when my student loan wasn't processed yet, and it was a perfect solution. |

Contact your local bar association...they can refer you to legal services if you're having financial difficulty...the landlord can proceed, but if you have representation or can prove why it happened and that you will pay you may get an extension. I'm saying get legal representation because they know the ins and outs and you don't. Or do you go to a church? Lots of organizations give temporary help for your situation. Good luck. |

There are different laws per state. You should be able to look up tenant landlord rights.
Good luck |
