Discounts are usually available if you pay by direct debit. Discounts are also available if you decide to go paperless.

Check also for the best suppliers according to your post code:

Direct Debit is the best possible way. Stay away from prepayment meters. Stay welllllllll away.

Under no circumstances should you get involved with any kind of pre-pay meter. You pay a lot more for your utilities that way. Strangely enough only people on low incomes or benefits tend to have them and they are the people who can least afford to pay for their utilities that way as it is so expensive!

richard_beckham2001
Direct debit, some companys offer a discount for paying by this method.

i like direct debit, they cost the same, they just take it out, and you don't have to worry about the numbers

Jacqueline
Main reason for me to use direct debit is : ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY. We got to play a part in saving the planet, right?

Paddy
The problem with direct debit I find is that they sometimes take more than is required so I pay my bills by standing order which leaves me in control

kevin p
direct debit cheaper

I pay mine through my bank on line. it saves me a stamp, and the bill gets paid the day before it is due so the money stays in my account as long as possible. that way accrue as much intrest in my own account as possible. I also dont have to write any checks my bank sends the check to them on the due date.

Metre's cost more but if you are paid weekly they are easier to manage. EDIT...Kitkat above me is a bit naieve...people on low incomes spend what they get every week on the very basics of life...food and bills.....they dont have over 100 pounds per month to give,...so find it easier to put a fiver in a metre now and then.
