My Husband and I work for the same company and just found out that we are being laid off - our last day is October 2nd. We live in Seattle, WA and have been living here most of our lives. The cost of living is ridiculously high and we would kind of like a change of pace. We don't have children, and nothing holding us down. I know of a place that is not too humid in the summer (can be HOT, but we do have a/c everywhere), not too cold in the winter. Has great employment, no state income tax, friendly people, lots of shopping malls, great schools (kinder to Universitys), great infrastructure of roads, everything to buy is here, great restaurants, conservative, loads of Churchs to pick from, lots of city events, theatre, recreation.
In fact, the only negative thing about us is our newly re-elected governor. I didn't appoint him in the first place and tried to get someone else the second time, but we're stuck with him. Sorry.
The state is Texas.
I wasn't born here, but I got here as quickly as I could!
It's a WHOLE OTHER COUNTRY.

You could go north to Bellingham or south to Olympia. Both areas are cheaper than Seattle, and by staying in WA state, you wouldn't have to pay state taxes. |

the rule in general in the downtown city areas and in the rural out in the country areas theres cheap apartments to live in. in the suburbs or in the middle inbetween those two ares thats where it is expencive. |
