GAR501 | Has anyone ever sold a house to National Home buyers ? |
I believe they make you a cash offer ,however they ask for an upfront fee before they even come out to look at the house.
Is this a scam because they offer a really bad price or just to ensure you are a genuine seller?
Any knowledge of them you can share would be greatly appreciated. Additional Details If anyone has time check it out and let me know what you think !

Be careful there are companies around who basically pray on people who are having a hard time and who are at risk of having their house repossessed they come in and offer to buy yr house and repay the mortgage. but the way they work is like this
Your house is worth £195000.00
you owe the mortgage company £95000.00
they pay the mortgage company £95000.00
They now own your house and charge you rent to stay there and they have now made a very nice profit of £100000.00 plus a tenant who is now paying rent not sure if National Home Buyers is one of these companies but for your own peace of mind please check them out carefully |

The price you will be paid for your home is almost certainly a below market value (BMV) price. You will accept this ONLY if you have sufficient equity in the property AND are desperate to move soon. Otherwise there is no point. You might be giving away tens of thousands of pounds. |

Please beware this company offer you under the market value because they know you're keen to sell, they were also on watchdog not so long ago, they don't conduct business very well and are basically a scam.
Any "normal" estate agent does not charge you until the property is sold, it is in their best interest to sell your house to get your fee unlike National, they take you money and thats about it.
If you do use them please be aware, selling your home is stressful enough without having lost money from the beginning.
In my opinion get 3 highstreet agents around to value your property and go with the agent who you generally feel will look after you and your property.
Good luck, I hope i've been some help |

Sounds a scam to me, why else would they ask for a fee - why woldn't they just take the fee out of the price they pay you for the house? |

I did see a watchdog type program, which had these on. They consistently offered well below the market value, knowing the owners would refuse, having already paid the fee.
Avoid. |

Basically you pay them £1000.00 ( i think its about that ) they send a surveyor round to drive past your house then when they know the value they offer about half the market value if you are lucky. They just pray on people who want quick sales. Would be better to put your house up with an estate agent for best offers or offers in the region of and see what happens. |
