arfurchance | Have you noticed? |
Hi
Have you noticed that since we've all been asked to do our bit for the environment by using less electric, gas etc, the bills have risen quite sharply, simply the capitalists that run these p.l.cs don't want to help us help the environment, because we're using less gas and electric our bills are smaller (or should be) so they have to put the service charges up to be able to pay the share holders, save the planet Mr Brown, put the great back into Brittain? yeh, okay you first, lower taxes so people can pay their bills more easily.

Another brainwashed victim, even when oil prices drop the government still put prices up and the middle east has nothing to do with our taxes..E.G..If overnight our taxes were reduced by a third what would happen?... this your standard of living would rise, the government would still get the SAME amount of TAX, everything you buy is taxed and if you saved the extra money your interest is taxed. |

If you have a local paper where you live you should write exactly what you did here and send it in to the editor to run in the paper. I am sure that there are more people in your are a who feel the same way. |

That is hitting the nail on the head.
The problem is that with people using less resources, they make less money, and so raise the prices to make up the difference. (bunch of crooks) |

Yep lower taxes. So who's going to pay for schools, NHS, police etc etc?
Do you know why the bills have gone up? Its because of the problems in the Middle East and oil supplies.

Further to your addiotnal, your economics is not quiet right.
Savings aren't taxed, the interest on savings is taxed. If taxes were dropped by a third, I will have more moeny in my pocket. If I buy something with the extra money, the only tax is VAT at 17.5% (and not all things have VAT) so the tax generated would be less than the income it received. If I save the money, yess, I would pay tax on my savings, but less now you dropped it, but the capital amount wouldn't be taxed.
The overall would be muchg less moeny going into public services. I am not brainwashed, I just think through the consequences of things. |
