Help With Math Problem?
A real estate broker sold your house for $72,000. The broker's commission was 6% of the selling price. How much would you get for the house after the commission is paid???

C. $73,200
D. $76,320

"A" would be the answer for this question. Yet reality sets in and there's the transfer tax which would have to be paid, usually 50/50 between the buyer and seller. Also there's the local and school taxes which you would either get credited or charged for on a prorated basis.

You could also have other fees involved as well.
