Somewhere in Florida or Southcarolina.

Parts of the west coast of Florida, other then the Naples area are still very affordable. Around Tampa, Sarasota, Ft myers ect ect. Most of the east coast has gotten over priced.

South CArolina cities like Charleston and Hilton HEad are still well priced as well.

Unfortunately-- one cannot buy all that much in any desireble US area. Sad-- but true. That prolly would be the median price for a nice house in a good neighborhood-- but certainly-- no villa. If you have a particular area in mind, let me know & I'll try to be more specific. If you don't believe me (I know it seems harsh)-- pick a place-- such as the LA or Miami area & check the real estate listings. Contact a realtor first tho' & make sure it's a desireable & safe area. Good luck!

I live outside New Orleans, 20 miles away--high and dry-in a beautiful neighborhood next to the Mississippi River by several old Antebellum Plantation homes. You can buy a lovely home about 370 sq. meters for that price. We had next to no damage from the hurricane.

Funny-because I just posted how I would like to buy a small place in Italy and wondered how. I love the Umbria and Tuscany regions. Any info on where to look for houses around $200 euros or below?
