It doesn't have anything to do with your age. With the market being the way it is right now you need excellent credit and a job making a signifigant steady salary before any one will think of giving you a chance...

It's not that they don't want to lend you money, it's that your not the legal age to sign a contract and have it be binding. Therefore they could give you money and you have no obligation to pay it back. You could have yourself declared an emancipated minor. This would let you be treated as an adult in all dealings. Still you would only get a loan based on your earnings. As a teen you probably don't have a full time job. If your lucky enough to have income from a different source, you could always have a trust account set up. The trust would then sign any and all contracts on your behalf until you reach legal age.

In Ohio you have to be 18 to buy or sell property. Check the laws in your own state. Probably your only alternative is to appoint a guardian to buy property on your behalf |
