I'm advertising a 50-acre property for sale. Many people have no concept of how big that is. I'm looking for something that most Americans will be able to relate to. For example, New York's Central Park is 843 acres, and Disney's Magic Kingdom is 107 acres. Can anyone come up with something similar that's approximately 50 acres? Thanks! |

I deal with this every day
1 acre = 43,560 sqaure feet ( apox 210 ft x 205 ft+/-)
so if 50 acres = 2,178,100 square feet
this would be a square that is 1,475.90 ft x 1,475.90 ft +/-
1.475.90/ 300ft (100yards+/-) = 4.90 football fields wide and 4.90 football fieldsdeep +/-
so to give you an estimate of the size you could say it could be just less than 5 football fields by 5 football fields

Lifestyle size I'm an Aussie land has got very expensive anywhere here and a block that size for lifestyle block would be
considered big although as you are no doubt aware we have huge block ownership here.
Depending on location i would push it as lifestyle block presuming it has water dams etc and zoning for development
Edit got distracted then you can describe it in sections to draw a pic for people Flat with trees or Whatever. |
