I see everyone is telling you to ring BT. That didn't work for me. I knew that the property I was going to move into had a phone line with them as I knew the previous tennant. When I phoned BT they said that there was no phone line there and never had been!!! Eventually they came out to put one in and told me that I already had one, then tried charging me for their effort!!!! Good luck!
