Go to the property appraisers or tax collectors office and you should be able to find that information, at least in most cases. I put a website below that is very informative for this purpose, I use it frequently.
Hope it helps! |

Your county has land records listed online. You can search by parcel #, owner's name, address, etc.
Why would you care how much he paid for it? He could have had it willed to him with no payment at all & he can still charge as much as he wants for rent every month.
Are you looking to buy it from him or something? If so, contact a realtor to make sure his asking price matches comps in the area. It doesn't really matter what he paid for it, only that he's asking a fair price. |

Depends on how much information your local assessors office will give out. Our assessors web site shows the chain of ownership and the last year has begun listing the purchase price too. Check the web page in your county see what you can find. California is real tight with the information they will release. It would also be at the recorders office - loans, price etc. but you would have to know how to research that one in person. |

No Problem. Go to your local tax assessors office and they can tell you within $500.00 by the amount anyone paid for their property. |

Most counties have this info online. Look up your county's government cite for Property Appraiser, this is free information. Or you could look up the Clerk of Courts office for the recorded deed, the deed doesn't specifically say, but they will have the consideration. They use doc stamps to calculate the amount paid.
If you are trying to figure out what his payments are vs. the amount you pay rent, he could have a lower mortgage on it than the purchase price, You don't know how much he put down, terms of loan, etc.
Have you asked him? or are you trying to see if he's telling the truth? |

This should be a matter of public record and certainly is in Ohio, where I am a landlord. You should find out who maintains the register of property deeds in your city. In Ohio, this is done by the county auditor. Your City Hall will know. The deed probably will list the sales price or, if not, it might show a real-estate transfer tax that is based on the sales price and thus allows you to figure the price out. All this information probably is accessible via the Internet, once you learn what public official keeps the records you want. Also, the tax assessment on the property will suggest what the current market value is, and it might also list the last sale price. In Ohio, the county auditor also has this information. All of this stuff is public record and they MUST show it to you (I have been a newspaperman for 34 years). Usually public officials are very helpful in this regard if you just ask nicely. |

the deed doesnt necessiraly need to record the price, it can just say VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, but like the other girl said, if you talk to a realtor, they can see if the place was listed on the mls, and if so, how much it sold for.
It doesnt cost anything for the realtor to look, but it would be kind of awkward asking them for info on a place that you are not buying or selling |

A local Realtor will be able to give you this information or you can go to the county tax appraiser web site and look it up by yourself. Those informtions are public records |

It doesn't matter what he paid for it. You should ask your landlord what is his selling price. He will be the one to set the price, because he can. |
