That's a tuffy. You don't want to move out obviously because that would be the easiest thing to do so the only other thing is to ask them to ease up on the stashing crap in your space thing. Be tact-full and they will get it and if they don't be prepared to move out. Sounds like you are tired of living like a book mark having to squeeze in between the pages when you go into your own room. |

i would suggest, that if you are paying that, you can probably find something else that doesnt have all their junk in it. why are you paying your boyfriend for a room? is it yalls place together? If you moved into the place with the room like that, shame on you.
Sit down and talk with them both. tell them you want all of the room if you have to pay that much. Otherwise, i suggest finding a place of their own |

Renting from relatives is very iffy. You can rent a room (a whole room and probably a private bath for that in some cities). Look in the papers and show them where there are rooms cheaper and ask them to be fair. Were I you, I'd be looking in the "roommate wanted" section of the classifieds. |

get your own place! there are alot of low income housing that will charge you according to what you make. Get out of there ASAP. |

Tell them to either clear it out or adjust your rent, or solve everything by moving. |

Just move THEIR stuff into THEIR room. If they ask say, "I'm paying $400 for the WHOLE room, not just a corner. If you want to adjust my rent so you can use this part of the room, I am willing to compromise." After you've talked to them like an adult if they aren't willing, then consider leaving. If you pay that much in rent you should just get a place of your own or find some roommates. |

Maybe it could be a subtle method to try to get you to move? How many bedrooms does their place have? Are you all getting along? Where are you located - is it possible for you to get another room in your area for $400? That would be the best solution. |

My question is why are you paying that much for one room??!! You could get a studio, or one bedroom place for that. Do you help with utilities too or just pay to use the room?? I would take into consideration if they weren't charging for utilities, but at the same time you do need to get the entire room if your paying that much for it. Next time they put stuff in there, kindly take it and put it in their room, or sit it outside. |
