You picked the career. 90% of your clients will just waste your time, maybe more then that. It has nothing to do with respect, this is the job you wanted, this is what you get. Most buyers, especially first timers do a lot more looking then buying. People have to sort of warm up to the idea. |

Once you've built up a good referral base, you can expect things to get a little better because you will have more a reliable (i.e., serious) client pool. Still, you should continue to expect plenty of tire-kickers. |

That's the business. For every 50 or 100 showings you do you might have 1 sale, just the nature of the business.
If selling homes was quick and easy we'd all be doing it... Be patient, create a name for yourself and remember it will likely be years till you get a reputation like your elder peers, they didn't become successful (or at least taken more seriously) overnight. That career is very risky and takes time to get a reputation as a good agent people recommend to each other. But it can be a very successful career if you're committed, dedicated and show buyers you're serious about it. If buyers begin to see the slightest sign of frustration from you or feel as though they are wasting your time, they'll walk away.. |
