Ask the agent. If it is known they have to tell you.

Unless it was a violent crime it would not be recorded anywhere for you to look up. A suicide is a violent crime, there would be a police record if it was in the last 30-40 years.

Otherwise talk to the neighbors, they would know something like that as well.

ask your neighbors

in many states, if some one was 'killed' that has to be stated in the paper works .
contact local real estate authority for info on such laws.
as for dead people in house just think of them as guests

Old houses have history.

You watch too much TV. Dead people cant hurt you, its the live ones you have to watch out for. People die in their home every day.

Talk to the neighbors, ask the realtor the history of the home, otherwise.. there isn't much else you can do, maybe ask why the previous home owners are leaving, or left.

The information you seek is not generally available. Current homeowners need not disclose such occurrences to you unless the activity somehow affected the value of the property.

In California, a seller must disclose such an occurrence if it happened within the previous three years of your purchase. No other states require any such disclosures.

You may ask the sellers if they are aware of such occurrences, and they must answer honestly. Beyond that, there are precious few disclosures required.

Most states dont require have to disclose a natural death and only some states require the disclosure of a violent death. Just becuase someone died in a home does not mean they stuck around to haunt it.

by law in all states the realter has to inform you about it. the realter has to inform you as of the first time you go see the house or has to inform the realter that is helping you out so that they inform you about it. If this is not disclosed to you it is against the law and you can file a law suite for that. they have to inform you no matter what kind of death it was. it could be natural, murder, suicide or ocidental. good luck and hope you get a good buy...

ask for the house history
and you could use a black light to look around for blood
???

CuriousMind
I think they have to tell you all that info if such a thing did happen there .....
