You need to have it appraised. Is it going through probate? If it is thats a whole different ballgame. You can sell it yourself and don't need a realtor unless you feel you need one. It is simpler than one thinks as long as you are aware of the process. Realtors can be a tremendous help as well. |

Call a local Realtor and get them to help. Go on line and search the local Realtors. Call each one that you think might help and see what they sound like and get their experience. The only better way is to know someone in the town and call them and get a referral. |

Simply put, List with a broker, hire a lawyer, give the lawyer a power of attorney for the specific purpose of selling the property upon your approval of a selling price. After closing, hop a plane to pick up your check. |

Your best help would be to hire a professional Realtor. They know the answers to the ??? and can best represent you, no i am not a Realtor. |

You need to go see the property yourself.Check online for some comps. As much as I think realtors are a scam and a waste of $$ it may be your best option if you just wanted to get rid of it fast.EDIT..I will sell it 4 u! haha.I'm in Stickney |

It is best if you have a trusted real estate agent that you know. Let the your agent find an agent where the property is. Have your agent interview and refer the new agent. Your agent will get a referral fee for this which is a good thing. Your agent will continue to represent you and look out for your interests. Your agent will be able to advise you and knows what to look out for.
I think you also have to go through an attorney in the state of Illinois. |

check with several real estate agencies in that area get more than 1 quote and whomever give the highest ammount use. typically if you are out of state you mail the agency the keys and they show it for you.as far as the paperwork goes they can fed/ex it to you but you must sign all paperwork at a notary and then return paperwork |

For immediate gratification go to realtor.com and you can get comps for houses currently for sale in the area. Then contact a local realtor (where the property is) a put it on the market. Good luck, and sorry to hear about your loss |

I have to strongly disagree that a Realtor is a scam or waste of $$ at least not the good ones! In your situation the best thing you can do is contact a local Realtor to list the property with and sell it for you. I work for a National Real Estate company and would be happy to reffer you to a few Good agents in the area of the home. Email me at srmheath@yahoo.com if you are intrested, I will be happy to help! |
