When we bought a unit recently, the realtor proudly pointed out the security system, and mentioned that it was suitable for fitting ducted air-conditioning.
After we bought it, he mentioned that the security system didn't work. The air-conditioner installer said there was no way that a ducted system could be fitted.
Basically, they lie as a way of life. |

Many are stupid or lie. I have dealt with some where I knew more about real estate than they did. One couldn't even use the computer and had to have coworkers put in data.
Many lie but some believe the lies they tell or don't seem to care if things are true. They will say things like real estate always goes up or you can refinance next year to get a better rate when your credit improves. They can't know if you will have better credit or home prices won't be down but maybe they are just careless with the truth not actually lying. |

Real Estate Professionals get a bad name when they do not represent their clients. They have a fiduciary responsibility to ethically represent the buyer or seller or sometimes both. They also get a bad name when they get jaded and are callous. Frequently, they do not return calls, which does not help either. All they have is their time and information. If they even mildly suspect that you are abusing either, they will treat you like a Persona Non Grata, leading to bad blood. |

Realtors can get a bad name by buying property for themselves from customers at a low price (by convincing the customer to go for a low listing price), then buying the property (for themselves) and selling it for a much higher price.
They use their real estate knowledge to take advantage of others. |

Realtors get a bad (or good) name for themselves through customer service.
Realtors are just like anyone else in sales - they are there to make the sale!!!! Caviat Emptor - Buyer beware. Anyone who has ever been cheated by a realtor basically did NOT do their homework. People say - the realtor told me this, and they told me that, but those same people did not take the time to verify the values of houses in the area, or get the house inspected by a reputable inspector. Did you check the local better business bureau to see if there were any complaints against the realtor? If you got taken by a realtor you should only blame yourself.
After you had this negative experience with a realtor, did you report them to the BBB? Or were you a sheep and took it?
Do you want to buy a car? I have a old clunker that does not run, hell it does not even have an engine, but it was only driven by my 98 year old mother on Sundays, to church. LOL
And for all you haters out there, I am NOT a realtor or a salesman. |
