Many apartments offer short-term leases. Also, some hotels offer a flat rate to stay there for a longer period of time. I noticed that short-term leases are not as common in the northeast as they are in other parts of the country. If you want to live there for a year, almost all places offer leases for a year. Also, try Craigslist to get a roommate temporarily. Also, Craigslist is good to search for housing of people who go on vacation and need a house sitter for a few months. Good luck! |

Most tenancy agreements are for a minimum of 6 months, then you can rent month by month after that, I don't think there'll be many people who make you sign up for a whole year up front.
Local newspaper is always a good place.
Happy hunting! |

Depends on where you are wanting to live....and your age. There are senior options. There are not too many options for young folks. Call a realtor or check the penny saver for short term rentals. I'm assuming that you're not talking about vacation rentals. |

Most apartments have 6 month lease options. That is, if you are in the US. I don't know about other countries. |

You're looking for a "sublet." A community newspaper or website like www.craigslist.org will show listings for temporary housing in many metropolitan areas.
On Craigslist, you can even post a free want ad indicating exactly what you're housing needs are. Good luck! |

Check local real estate listings. Look on Craigslist. Call a local realtor.
Most apartment rentals are for a one-year lease, so as long as you can stay for the full year, you should have no problem finding a place. Renting for less than one year might be a little harder. |

rent an apartment and sign a one year lease or just rent month to month and give them 3 weeks notice before you move out |
