How do you find out the homeowner on record of a particular property?
I'd like to find out who owns a particular property, how do I do this?
Go to the Register of Deeds office in the county where the property is located. The clerk there will be happy to help.

In addition to the register of deeds office, many tax records are now available on line.
Google 'county name' tax records and you may find what you want.
Be advised that some use a strange looking Java based interface called 'Reflections for the web' that puts up a terminal window instead of a normal browser window. It can be hard to use at first, but once you get used to it you can obtain a ton of information.

Every state has their own name of County record keeper. The County Assessor's office will give you the name of the owner by giving them either a legal description or street address. This is usually free of charge. The County Recorder may charge a small fee to look it up??

Check with your county records department.

Try the local county website. Search the appraisal section where you can enter the property's address.

Ask a real estate agent and they can usually find out VERY easily.

You could go the County Registers Office, or you can go to a title agency and ask them to perform a portion of a title search, just for the name of the record owner. They charge a fee for this.
