How easy is it to become a realtor?
is the test to get a license hard?
Is the carreer outlook good or are there too many realtors already?

I think you are asking if it is easy to become a real estate licensee. The tests are easy for some and difficult for others. Pay attention in class, study and you will do fine.

Once you pass the state test and place your license with a firm you can join your local, state and National Association of REALTORS. Pay your fees to the associations, agree to abide by our Code of Ethics, and take an approved ethics course every 4 years. Only then can you call yourself a REALTOR. If you aren't an association member you are a licensee only.

Yes, there are too many licensees and to many REALTORS. That's free enterprise though. Unfortunatley there are a lot of people in real estate that don't do a good job and it makes the rest of us look bad. But there are a lot of very good people who take pride in assisting people buy and sell.

It's long hard work. Especially when just starting. You will have to give up a lot of personal and family time to get your business off the ground. Don't expect to make a profit the first or possibly even the second year. You should have 6 months worth of living expenses in the bank because it could be several months before you have a closing.

Statistically 2 out of 3 people who enter the field each year will drop out before their 2nd anniversary. Most enter real estate thinking they will be raking the cash in. I wish it was that way. It's a business and as with any business there are expenses. Even when there isn't any income. Just be prepared.

If you would like to discuss or if I can help you with anything else feel free to email me.

The difficulty differs from state to state. I took my RE course online and passed the 150 question test with ease. I am in CA. Search online for "test passing" courses. Mine guarantees a 100% pass rate and was recommended highly by successful agents. Do your research and contact realtors in your area as well as an online search for test passing courses in your area. The course I too online is $150 and the test and application fees with fingerprinting was another $160 or so.

Unless you are very well connected, become a movie actor rather than a Realtor, there is a better chance of making money.

IT'S AS EASY AS PASSING THE EXAM. WHICH IS NOT THAT EASY.

Brutus
The test isn't that hard. Remember that 90% of the agents make very little money.

It costs around $3,000 to start & you're supposed to have lots of friend or know lots of people. I wanted to do this & went to Hunt & this is what the lady told me.

I dont know about a realator but alot of people are telling me to become a Car Salesperson

Matt M
I don't think that becoming a realtor should be very hard for an average person because you don't need a college degree, experience, and most people pass the test the first time, etc. Try getting a doctor's board certification, a CPA license or passing the bar exam.
Also, I have know some very stupid realtors in my day. There is not a shortage of realtors only a shortage of really good ones. Keep in mind that a realtor is just a salesman for real estate so if you are good at selling then you could be a good realtor and vice versa.
