ed h | How long before I can reapply for a home loan? |
I was recently told because of two items on my credit report that I would not be able to get a home loan, they said once they were off, to reapply. If I pay them off next week, could I reapply then, or do I have to wait months/years for them to go off my report? We have found the perfect home, and don't want to miss the opportunity. |

Reapply. Go for it. If they told you all you had to do is remove a couple blemishes and you could get the loan, then they meant it. Head back and get that loan! Good luck. |

Pay them off, monitor your credit report. When the items come off your report, then reapply.
In the meantime, keep looking for houses. There is no such thing as the perfect house - make an educated decision about your future. The reason there are so many people in trouble in the housing market is because people made bad decisions based on emotion rather than sound judgement. |

If you pay them off next week...it may take a couple of weeks for the debts to show as paid on your credit report. You could apply once paid and show the lender your proof of payment. |

Just pay it off and get a receipt or a letter from that company stating that you allready paid the balance. Then, send those receipts or letters stating that you did so to the 3 homes experian, transunion and equifax. You can get those #s from your local directory. Once you send it to them. They will make sure that they post it to your credit and it can only take a few days or sometimes they do it the same day. Here's a # that might help you. You can send those letter to them. Just call them to make sure it is the right # 1877-222-0384 |

Pay them off and reapply to the same company. |

I would pay them off, but wait a couple off weeks to see it on your credit report, then reapply. not neccessary for you to go to same bank, only if thats what you want. If you are apart oif any credit unions, try them too! |
