Does he have a private practice or is he part of a hospital?
How much are his student loan payments?

intern, or an established doctor. Are they specializing in a certain
area?. Its hard to say from the question given. |

Without more detail, this question doesn't make a lot of sense.
If you have something to rent and are thinking that you can charge a doctor more than someone else because a doctor can afford more, well, that's not going to happen. Rents are priced at current market levels based upon supply and demand. Any person smart enough to get to be a doctor won't pay any more than the place is worth.
And any person smart enough to be a doctor is also smart enough to figure out a budget. He or she will know how much they can afford.

If you are trying to "hose" one, forget it. They have lawyers for buddies. Doctors buy houses, for generally they are family people and rarely if ever rent. |

Depends on the doctor, a medical doctor who is successful in plastic surgery could easily afford 10,000 a month, while a small town doctor probably would have a hard time paying 1,000. |

It depends on many factors, the area, the type of doctor, if their practice is alone or they are working with someone else that can help contribute, and obviously how busy they are, how many patients they get. If the doctor is always booked and always doing higher cost procedures then they can afford more. But if the schedule is slow and the earning are less, obviously they can afford less. To find out how much you would have to pay in rent you would need to budget! |

If you are speaking of renting a place to a doctor, then the location and amenities of the unit will pretty much determine the rent you may charge for a rental unit.
Because a person work for the city and collects the cities rubbish,does not mean he pays less for a unit than a doctor or lawyer that earn more money.
People renting in the same units or apartment complex normally pay the same amount of rent. If a person could pay rent based on what they earned, a poor guy earning $45,000 a year would want to live in a penthouse.
Some doctors earn more than others because some work in hospitals with a set income, some in a private practice where they are the owner and have others work for them.
