it depends on where you are buying a house at. a simple house in kansas can run you 90,000 while the same house will cost 180,000 in california. the location has a huge effect on the cost of the house, you can always do some research online and narrow down an area you are interested in and then start searching available houses in that area. good luck |

Regions, even cities, are completely different. I've seen homes cost any where from $40,000.00 (low end) in rural America to $500,000.00 (low end) in silicon valley. |

That is a big old "it depends" question.
Back in my home state you can get a reasonably nice house for 60k. Where I live now 200k buys a very modest home that needs work.
The market is different depending on the employment situation in the area. |
