I am in a small town of 7000, and an apartment is higher than renting or buying a house. A good house will run about 400-500, but we are talking a NICE house with nice acreage and 3 br, 2bath at least. A nice house, but not as great as the above is around 350 or so for the same size but not as good neighborhood or shape. Apartments are 500-600.
