The best way to make a determination is to go through your local newspapers RE advertisements. I live in New York and own a house. When I recently rented the first floor apartment I researched the area I live in to see what was the norm for rents in this area with the same or like living description. I rented for $3,500.00 a month. Still cheaper than what others were going for. But that would be the best way for you to determine how much to rent for (research rents in the area.) |

What town? What city?
Here in California that house would be $3,000/mo |

it really depends if its on the coast or not and the state it is in. |

There is really no way to answer this without knowing what state and city the house is located in. In a Los Angeles suburb (near UCLA) that house would go for at least $3500.00 per month. In Tenessee, it would be much, much less. Go to Craigslist.com and check out rentals in your area and compare them. |

Resonable rent would be about $1500 a month, to me. That's a lot of space on a nice lot at a nice location. Of course, knowing the actual large city you're referring to would help. People are willing to pay more depending on the state and metro area. |

Rent is purely driven by the area first, the size of the rental and its features, other rentals in the area. In my neighborhood the home you described would be around 1,200.00 to 1,500.00 per month plus the utilities. The same house about five miles from my home would probably only get 1,000.00 plus or minus 100.00. |

We need to know the city and/or state. Where I live, that house would rent for at least 3000-4000/mo (with no land) - but that's LA for you. |

It all depend on the County and State. In California 40 Miles to large City about $3500.00 Rent a month. |

Where I live it would be about 2500 dollars a month at least. |

what would the house sell for and what are the property taxes - that';s what will determine what the owner will charge to cover his costs - I can't imagine it costing less than 3000/month pretty much anywhere in the United states and probably more in the expensive areas |
