How much notice you must give to leave a property?

Just Me
That all depends on the terms of your lease.

prince_henry
in the UK for council dwellings its normally 4 weeks or a month, in private rented houses it depends on your contract

pups
4 weeks but some contracts say different.Go to the C A B if you are desperate to leave and they will help.

You need to look at your contract. Everyone is different. If you are breaking your lease (leaving before the contracted time is up) then you probably have to pay penalties - IF they even allow it. Otherwise, its probably 1 month, but you gotta check the fine print.

If you sighned a lease it will state how much time you must give. If not, a month is good notice.

i believe a month

Depends on the lease you agreed to rent.

Most lease agreements for residential rental property is 30 days.

This varies on your type of lease. My advice is to read your lease, then contact your landlord, as some landlords do let you out of your lease earlier than stipulated in your contract. If you have no joy with your landlord go to your local citizens advice centre and see where you stand from a legal stand point.

Read your lease. Your lease will specify the amunt of notice you have to give a landlord.

JC
It depends on your state's laws, I know in Texas it says 3 days. You have to give them 72 hours notice to vacate before starting the eviction process. Google this: "[Your State's] Real Estate Laws". Really do your homework. Many people will default to 30 days, but that isn't always the case. Good Luck!
