the area I am living in cost $1,150,000 for a really old 3 bedroom house, newly built can be $1,700,000. But the average in all of Vancouver is about $920,000 for single family house. |

I live about an hour from Manhattan in a mid size city with suburbs surrounding the city. On one end of the city, near the water, homes with 3 bedrooms run around $500K and the other side of the city (a woodsy wildlife area) homes with 3 bedrooms are around $800K. |

In Western KY, USA 3 years ago, I bought a 3 bed room Brick, built in 2001 home in a rural subdivision for Under $140,000 . The house was in good repair, and in a working class neighborhood. The average is close to $200, 000 for a new home, but used one a few years old are in the $150,000 range. But it all depends on the neighborhood. (1800 square feet) |

in many of the smaller towns here in new mexico you can find about 20 year old site built homes on half acre lots for about $85k give or take. But would you want to live there ? |
