$3700/yr on $310,000 value outside of Philly.

My in-laws, who live in N. Jersey, pay $11,000/yr on $450,000 value. Ouch! You'd think with the revenue generated from the casinos, the state lottery, and the (in)famous NJ Turnpike they'd be able to push down RE taxes. Oh wait, we're talking about New Jersey...

In Colorado, typically a $200K home is taxed at around $1300/year.

The Naughty Scotsman
Roughly $1,900 for a house valued at $135,000. This is for Florida and we do have sales tax, but no income tax.

The amount you pay for property taxes depends upon the State, County or municpality in which you own the property. There are some locations where you pay approx. 1/8th of a % on your assessed value. Then there are areas where you not only have to pay regular county taxes, but you will be required to pay city or municipality taxes too.

In some areas, there are supplemental items too.

If you put in a search engine the name of the county in which the property is located, and include "Tax Collector", you should get a way to look up your taxes.

I hope I was able to help out!

$4,000

In CA it is 1.25% of the purchase price of the home per year, and it doesn't change (w/exceptions) until you sell.

My dad pays $427.00 per year!
