I pay $900 a month for a one bedroom apartment in California. It's not even that nice, the kitchen is really old and there is no diswasher or washer/dryer. I would like to move but it is actually a really good deal since most rentals in my area are much more expensive (around $1100-1600 for a one bedroom). Also, my landlord hasn't raised the rent in the 3 years I have been here and I am allowed to have my dog here. Most places around here are not pet-friendly.

I live in western PA and I pay $450/month with all utilities included except cable and phone. It's a studio apartment, one bedroom and it was a dump when me and my husband moved in but the landlord let us skip the security deposit and have 2 weeks free if we repainted and cleaned the place. I don't like living there because we have rude/noisy neighbors but is related to the landlord. I am aloud to keep my cat there. |

Well, I live far, far away in Erie, PA... but we pay $525/mo for a spacious 2 bedroom. We're not allowed to have pets and all of our utilities are included (central heat and air, water, electric, etc.)except for TV/Internet and Phone.
Too bad the market is so high out there! My boyfriend's cousin lives in LA in a studio and she pays like 3x what you do tho. |

Pets are really frowned upon here in Western Colorado. I pay $950 for 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, and 2 car garage. It's nearly new and very nice. |

Where in california are you. If you move to the southeast, you might pay less, but you're in the southeast, you can move to a more rural midwestern state and pay a lot less as well, but if you in or near any major city (excluding the southeast), you're getting a great deal. Landlords usually aren't terribly friendly to pet owners period because they have to deal with the reprecussions of your pet damaging anything or other tenants complaining about noise. |

Before I bought my house I paid 675.00$ a month for a 1200 sf apt. with 2 full baths/ 2 bedrooms, and they allowed dogs. Great rental rates here in Michigan although no DA*N jobs to gain income from~~ |

I pay $1,100 a month for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1900 square foot loft apartment with dishwasher, ceiling fans in every room, washer and dryer hook up, security system, and it is located in a down town entertainment area. It is a very expensive apartment for the area where I live ( Clarksville, TN) . Rent and what you get for your rent is all about location. Im sure if my apartment were in your area in CA. it would be a lot more than $1,100 . But there are no pets allowed in my apartment. |

Well my mom and grandma pay 900 for a 3 bedroom apartment. Girl I suggest you to move somewhere else in the state, or just leave the state because 900 dollars on a place that your describing isn't worth it. Try looking on the net for apartments that are leasing and is pet-friendly. Hope I helped =). |
