How to buy this house?
Okay my Grandmother has a very nice house, I grew up in the house, now she is 85 years old and wants me to buy the house so she can pay off her debt and everything before something happens to her, Id love to buy the house. She is willing to give me the house to get a mortage on and pay her what she wants for the house, but so far what I find is payments of like 2,000-6,000 a month and I can not afford that by myself...anyone know a good way to go about this in a affordable way?
Additional Details
The house was appraised for $89,000 its isnt that expensive and yes i am paying her rent and i dont even live with her. I dont want her to just give me the house...I have worked for everything in my life im just wondering if there is a more affordable way than to pay monthly notes of that price

Wow, it must be one large house. Why doesn't she just leave it to you in her will? You can live with her now and pay her rent to pay her bills off.

Hi,
I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and improve my credit score. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58% .It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

Daggone. That must be an awesome house.

The only why it could be more affordable is if your grandmother lowered the price. Also, be ware that with the housing situation being in a poor state, houses are not worth what they used to be. A bank will only loan you what the house appraises for...

Something is not adding up? The house was appraised at $89,000, but payments are 2,000-6,000??? At current rates a $90,000 loan should be way less than 1,000/month.

Are you missing a zero in the appraisal?

I suggest the following. If you and your grandmother have trust in each other, than go to the local office supply store and get a quit claim deed or a statutory warranty deed form and fill it out, following the instructions. Record the document at the county assessors office. At that moment the house is officially yours.

Go online or to a bank and get quotes on a home equity loan. You will most likely get 80% max on the value of the house. Use that money to pay your grandmother and the rest you will need to work out personally. Promissory note, personal real estate contract, are just two examples that should work for you.

There is a couple of ways to do it but I need more information. Such has, how much does she need to pay off her debt? Is that what equals your monthly payment of 2-6K? If not, you can do some creative financing. Perhaps she can hold back a note for whatever is left.

why not "rent" it from her until you can you pay for it outright - pay your grandmother the rent

2,000-6,000 a month that is quite a range. Either you qualify or not, the banks will make the call. Sounds like you already know the answer.

Add: an $89,000 would have a payment much less than what you stated.
