Well i dont know this for sure but check into it. Who's name is on the lease? If it is both of yours names then both of you are responsible. Then what u would have to do is take him to court for his half if you have a written agreement he will be ordered to give u the half u have been paying back. So unfortunately there really isnt alot you can do. I know some goverment help is available but you would have to qualify for it. You could also talk to your landlord show them the written agreement and see if they will get involved on collecting his half. Also i dont know your circumstances but it sounds like you guys are seperated????????? if you are and the children you have are from your marriage with him i know in florida there is things u can file for like afdc until you get divorced to help pay for things with your kids and he would have to pay that money back. i hope this helps like i said i dont know your situation but i have been where you are but it was when i was going through a divorce. good luck best wishes. |

The agreement should have been between the landlord and your husband, not between you two. Your agreement may be enforceable in court to recoup the money owed. If you are on the rental agreement then you are liable for it! |
