I would rent. Then you could save money for a house that you would realy love insted of setteling for a cheaper one. |

newly married.? just rent as if you buy a small house you will be getting on each other nerves a lot and if you break up in a short time then you will probably lose money trying to sell it..so the first couple of years it would be better financilly and emotionally to rent..i bought a small house and i ended up just turning it over to my ex-wife as the value if sold was not worth fighting for..plus she turned sour on me and did not want to see me get anything ..and she got her way..i never did forgive her for this..but i got sweet revenge and she was stuck with the kids and she had her sixth divorce the last time i heard word about her...beware |

Buying vs Renting... depends on where you live right now.
Look for forclosure and HUD homes or bank re-pos or drug siezure homes.
Lots out there, more every day, very very cheap. |

I personally would buy as the likelyhood is that the property will rise in value and at least then you are on the property ladder - as for renting it is dead money and you have to live in a house that you cant do anything with |

believe me.. you better rent it than buy, who knows ur future? you may not be there forever, sometimes ur job requires you to move to another places, like my parents were, and to all of that, i never lived in my true house but only for a few years, i grew up living in another places other than my home, i think you should take into account of ur child too... |

Have you considered "Lease Option"? It's similar to "rent to own".

Buy when you can. It's a hardship but you'll reap the benefits later on. Why make money for the landlord, letting them get the tax breaks intead of you. Start small, you can always move up(in size) if and when you have any children. Good luck |

BUY!!! You can deduct the payment from your taxes and renting gets you nada. |

Welllll I think maybe it would be better to rent, for the first year or so. That way you should have a pretty good idea if yall are gonna stay together. |

I would say try to find something nice to rent and try to save some money, so that when you do finally buy a house it is one you both really like and that is big enough for you to have a fmaily in.. |
